DMP wizard - 3. Dataset Description for Horizon2020
a. Section 1 - Data Summary
Add explanatory text -> Answer the following questions to provide a summary of the types and characteristics of data collected, generated, shared and re-used during your research activities. Highlight why it is of relevance to the project and useful to other researchers.
Add free text questions:
- What is the purpose of the data collection/generation and its relation to the objectives of the project?
- What types and formats of data will the project generate/collect?
- Will you re-use any existing data and how?
- What is the origin of the data?
- What is the expected size of the data?
- To whom might it be useful ('data utility')?
b. Section 2 - FAIR data
Add explanatory text in the section "2 FAIR Data" box -> In general terms, your research data should be 'FAIR', that is findable, accessible, interoperable and re-usable. These principles precede implementation choices and do not necessarily suggest any specific technology, standard, or implementation-solution. This template is not intended as a strict technical implementation of the FAIR principles, it is rather inspired by FAIR as a general concept.

2.1.1 Metadata List -> change to "Select a metadata standard from the list. Multiple selection of metadata standards is possible." ; Also, currently Metadata List allows for one selection only, this should be changed. Multiple selection of standards should be feasible.
everywhere Change "comment" to "Please Specify" with explanatory text -> Provide additional information or justification about your selection
2.1.2 Url/Location everywhere change Url to -> URL
change "Url" to "URL" and add explanatory text -> URL where metadata can be found add explanatory text for "Location" -> Name of repository, database, platform that holds the data
2.1.3 Will your metadata use standardised vocabularies? add explanatory text for "Vocabularies" -> Select a vocabulary from the list.
2.1.4 Url/Description Add name of field and explanatory text for "URL" -> URL where the vocabularies of the data can be found Add name of field and explanatory text for "Description" -> Briefly describe selected vocabularies application for your needs.
2.1.7 Will you use a naming conventions for your data? remove "a" from the title of the subsection
2.1.8 Url/Name Add explanatory text for "URL" -> URL where this information can be found Add explanatory text for "Name" -> Name of the conventions used for the data
2.1.11 Persistent identifiers Add explanatory text -> Select a persistent identifier (PID) from the list. You may select multiple PIDs according to the types of research outputs, needs and the area of your research.
2.1.13 What services will you use to provide searchable metadata? Change "Dataset Metadata" to "Metadata Services" and add explanatory text -> Select a service that indexes your metadata.
2.1.14 Url/Name Add explanatory text for "URL" -> URL of the services providing searchable metadata Add explanatory text for "Name" -> Name of the services used for providing data with searchable metadata
2.1.16 Which standardised data formats do you plan on using? Add explanatory text for "File Formats" -> Select formats from the list
2.1.17 Standardised formats Add explanatory text -> Is the structure of the file(s) provided in a standardised format? Add explanatory text for "URL" -> URL where this information can be found Add explanatory text for "Name" -> Name of the file format
2.1.19 Are the file formats you will use open? first field should have an explanatory text -> Select your answer from the list
2.1.21 Do supported open-source tools exist for accessing the data? first field should have an explanatory text -> Select your answer from the list
