# EUDAT Core and Extended metadata schema definitions
This repository contains the working documents of the EUDAT Core and Extended metadata schemas.
This repository contains the working documents and releases of the EUDAT Core and Extended metadata schemas.
In addition, example files and validation scripts are provided.
### Origin
The EUDAT Core and Extended metadata schemas are heavily based on the DataCite metadata schema, in particular version 4.4. See for more information the [DataCite website](https://schema.datacite.org).
